Iowa Vets to Attend Rainbow Division Reunion
Des Moines reports that several hundred Iowa veterans of the Rainbow division will attend the annual reunion in Chicago on July 14 and 15. The event marks the seventh anniversary of the Battle of Champaign, with the Forty-second division noted as the only American unit to participate. Chicago hosts the One Hundred and Forty-ninth field artillery, also part of the Rainbow division. The Iowa unit in the division is the One Hundred and Sixty-eighth infantry.
