Charles City Iowa July 93 The estate of Earl L Gaylord a Floyd county pioneer has been settled in district court His estate valued at 200000 largely land with heirs including a widow in Kent Ohio a California sister and a Floyd county nephew The Gaylord family helped settle Floyd county starting in 1855 with a two room cabin near Nora Springs and the founder helped log the first schoolhouse tree in the county The estate settlement returns part of the land to a late Gaylords line and notes his return to Connecticut to spend his final years
