Governorship Hangs on Split Delegations in Iowa
Des Moines reports from counties show only a small share of the 1,042 Republican delegates will be instructed for governor at the July 20 convention. Many counties split their delegations between Moore Kendall Deems and Havner, signaling a hot fight for the governorship and other statewide posts. County results list varying instructions and endorsements, with no clear single frontrunner across the state.
