Soldier Dies in Auto Accident
Des Moines January 7 Sergeant Brooks Conger of Company 8 military police Camp Dodge was killed when a light roadster went into a ditch on Beaver avenue road. Leroy Mitchell a blacksmith of the same company was seriously hurt. The driver, a civilian, swerved to avoid headlights and blinded by an approaching car, sending the vehicle into the ditch. Conger’s body was sent to Exting Iowa.
