Frohman urges domestic talent over foreign actors for American stage
Daniel Frohman, long-time producer, argues against sending American producers abroad for plays. He says focus should stay in the United States where many actors and writers exist and cost and risk are lower. He praises revival of old dramas and support for contemporary dramatists to provide wholesome, elevated fare for American audiences.

Attic Rummager Finds Handicraft of 60 Years Ago
AT. Ti. Loomer, 76, at 620 Fourth street east, AT, found a relic of youth in a cedar frame he made sixty years ago. The 12 by 18 inch frame uses over 1,000 cedar spikes from cigar boxes, dovetailed into a nailless solid mass. The spikes are tied with horizontal strips, forming a thornlike woven mat, reflecting Loomer’s long effort during his sixteenth year.
