Report on wreck of dirigible puts blame on nature
Washington January 2 The navy court of inquiry reported the Shenandoah disaster over Ohio on Sept 3 was caused mainly by unbalanced dynamic forces from high velocity air currents. It found no fault with the crew and urged caution in early lighter than air flight while noting uncertainties about hull damage effects. The widow Mrs Zachary Lansdowne praised the exoneration and said her husband had protested against the flight due to weather conditions.
