Three Short Plays Staged At The Little Theatre
Three one act plays by the Community Drama league were presented at the Little Theatre last night. Distinguished Service by Mrs Florence Clay Knox and Mrs John E. O Keefe drew big cheers for its lifelike staging. A Game of Chess set in a Russian province featured Sol Harrison as the governor and Carl Glick as the peasant who drinks poison. Ruby Red, set in Algeria, starred Mrs C P Miller and Leslie Lewis with Seth Beem as the jewel merchant wooing Danesi Dana. Josephine Nauman offered an Oriental dance. Maybeth Mack accompanied on violin, with piano pieces by Miss Georgella Lay. The shows repeat tonight and tomorrow night.
