Large Timber Wolf Shot Near Hog Pen

Winton Iowa Feb 5 William Senft a prosperous farmer heard a disturbance among hogs and sent his son Alonzo to investigate. He shot what he thought was a large dog on a hog and the animal, wounded, attacked the youth. It then fled to a corner and died. later identified as a large timber wolf.
