In Sioux City Iowa on February 4 Carl Molin a 38 year old farmer from Laurens Iowa attempted suicide in a Mitchell hotel room by shooting himself through the right temple with a .22 revolver. He was taken to St Vincent's hospital and not expected to live. He left a note asking his death be forgiven and asking funeral arrangements for someone named John Molin Alta Iowa. The message, partly Swedish and Norwegian, ends with farewell and hope for forgiveness.
