New Year Frolic at Crystal Theatre Promises Splendid Show
Evans Revue company unveils a pretentious New Year’s frolic at Crystal Theatre with a midnightspecial, fresh musical numbers, and a classy chorus. the daytime bill features The Notorious Lady starring Lewis Stone and Barbara Bedford, a First National adaptation from Sir Patrick Hastings, set partly in Africa with a diamond fields pursuit. The supporting cast includes Ann Rork Earl Metcalf Francis McDonald Grace Carlyle E J Ratcliffe G Guniss Davis. A comedy and news reels round out the program. Tuesday brings a new nonsical revue and God Gave Me Twenty Cents featuring Lois Moran Linda Putti Jack Mulhall Adrienne d'Ambricourt and others in New Orleans.

Rialto Theatre Remodeling Sets Speed Record
John G. Miller Construction cuts interior gutting time for Rialto theatre from three months to 28 days using three shifts. Six three ten beams, new stage and balcony, fly loft, dressing rooms, ornamental plaster, and a new Wurlitzer organ enhance the rebuilt venue. Total remodeling cost about $200,000 with $200,000 for equipment. A half ton pig traveled 35,000 miles to its display and is insured for $25,000.
