Police Matron Mrs Barr Reports Eight Months of Service

Four years ago J. J. Meany and H. B. Nelling began producing caskets in a barn at 220 Western Avenue. The J. J. Meany Casket Company has grown to a leading midwestern industry with new Falls Avenue plant, $1,000 in new machinery, and a 168 by 80 foot lot. It now employs 10 people, added Pittsburgh experts, and manufactures metal and vault caskets with extensive accessories.
