Detectives Crumline and Davis and Federal Agent Baldwin seized five quarts of bonded Scotch whisky labeled 152 years old from rooms 404 and 406 at the Russell Lamson hotel. Chicago promoter Jack Gaul, Cedar Falls residents Br. J. Lechner and G. H. McEirey were arrested. Gaul claimed alias Gowtan. Bonds set at $300 for Gaul. Lechner and McEirey held on illegal liquor charges. arrests followed a tip after a man boasted of more stock in the hotel.
