Manchester to Host War Lecturer at Central Opera House
Capt FR Hugh Enyvett, famed US war lecturer, will speak at 8 pm December 14 at the Central Opera House. He survived extensive shrapnel wounds after service in 1914 and is touring the eastern states to support Delaware County war efforts as the Red Cross surpasses its article quota. The Delaware County Red Cross reports 1000 knitted items plus 199 overage and a Christmas membership drive through December 15. Delaware County judge Geo W Dunham chairs the legal advisory board aiding 1300 registrants with oath questions and affidavits. The Manchester State Bank re elected officers and directors, with Charles E Cawley joining the board. Charles Barnette purchases the Farley Advertiser and will relocate.

He was accused of holding up Freda Hinterman 15 and her escort Oliver Davidson 20 on Oct 27, with the girl identifying him by voice and eyes. Pioneer contractor dead in Utah hometown
Niley Haworth, a pioneer contractor and builder of pumps and hardware in Iowa Falls, died in Ogden Utah where he had lived for years. Born 1832 in Danville Michigan he worked across Iowa including Linn county Toledo and Iowa Falls. He built Ellsworth College and Tobin College Fort Dodge, moved west in 1907 to Denver then his wife died. he leaves four sons and a daughter with Frank in Fort Dodge the surviving child in Iowa.
