Former Soldier Dies in Dentist Chair in Iowa

Arthur Barter a 39 year old farmer from Union Prairie township died suddenly Thursday morning at Dr Cassidy’s dental office during an unaesthetic procedure before tooth extraction. Dr Rominger found conditions favorable but insufficient anaesthetic caused collapse. Barter, married since March 20, was employed on James Farley’s farm.

Conductor Malthouse of Garner Minnesota advertised a $1 reward in Garner papers after a sneeze caused him to lose a set of upper teeth. While his train neared Garner from the east on the Milwaukee line, he fell back while preparing to alight. teeth shot from the car onto the right of way and into tall grass.
