A New Assistant Superintendent for Marshalltown Schools

William K. Shirley, longtime principal of the Sioux City high school, resigned from the Sioux City board on Monday night to take the Marshalltown high school superintendent post starting July 1. He asked not to be considered for reappointment in Sioux City, citing a better opportunity and salary in Marshalltown. Shirley had previously served as Marshalltown high school principal from 1914 to 1926.
