Sioux City declares for open shop rule in industry
In Sioux City Iowa an open shop declaration runs through a full page ad signed by the chamber of commerce and major business groups. The Employers' association says a $150000 fund will back the campaign while union leaders fear a general strike and lack time to adjust. Local unions say the Employers' association did not consult them before publishing the declaration.
