J F Reinhart 84 a Civil War veteran and Mt. Vernon township pioneer died at 8 30 a m at St Francis hospital following a fall and cerebral hemorrhage He was born May 28 1838 in Würtemberg Germany and settled in Iowa after coming to America He served in the 92nd Illinois infantry and fought at Chattanooga Missionary Ridge and during Shermans march He married Emma J Valentine March 16 1873 and lived on a Mt Vernon township farm
