Railroad Fights Pavement Taxes in O'Brien County

Primghurla, April 5. A district court case concerns the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad Co challenging a 1921 paving assessment of 32,100 for 26 miles of North Iowa pike in O'Brien County. The county notes the railroad earned over 60,000 for hauling materials and that the Milwaukee road seeks a statewide precedent with 100,000 in appeals pending.
