At about 9 oclock last night a Chevrolet with two male passengers stopped near a theatre. Officers Wyke and Gross found no license tag and detected whisky by odor. A flask was found. one man named W C Welch of Purlear Wilkes County was captured, the other escaped. 31 pints of Wilkes county corn liquor were seized. Welch is jailed awaiting bond.
