Postmaster Sidward Gaitha reports Washington authorities approved a new Postal Savings Bank feature to open here. The system will issue stamps and credit one dollar per ten stamp books, aiding poorer residents.
The Wal and other route of m Simon's boys school on Wefron streets is undergoing extensive remodeling. The stage will be remodeled, walls redecorated, and improvements added. The hall will be used as a club room for St. Simons Bars' Club with pool and hard tables to be installed. Ray Gratiani Raving donated the tables.
German residents form the Harmonite Club with seventy four charter members and officers elected led by President George V Stein and Vice President Bart Kempf. Attendees heard Dr L Wilson address the group as a native tongue Irish, injuries nearby noted in the city.
The state to fund pensions for eight widows of miners killed in the Cherry Fire. The plan, backed by the Carnegie fund and state help, will provide monthly stipends to these widows and cover administration costs and past payments. Mrs Helen D Jenkins is summoned to the office of US district attorney Henry A Wise to testify about large smuggling operations. Nathan Allen of Kenosha Wisconsin and John R Collins of Memphis Tennessee are named in connection. She mentions jewelry believed smuggled and pawned as cash ran short. The grand jury may hear her July testimony.

He outlined his background in lumber business and loyalty to Lorimer as a protectionist allied with the deep-waterways project.
