F U E X E R S O N Fulkerson superintendent of Flirt M E Sunday school was elected Wednesday by local Methodist members to represent their church at the Cluelay eleventh conference to be held in Diggmington in September. The Indiana conference will send one ministerial and one lay delegate for each charge. Several candidates for lay delegate have announced themselves across the conference. McFulkerson is praised as a churchman fit for the role. VanOsdol has served as a general conference delegate in the past. J A Knowlton of the Baptist Church of Valparaiso visited nearby Friday.

A Degro man and a white man, Ern est Joare and Lawrence Romuthtell, are jailed on burglary charges in North Carolina. They, along with a third white man, were tracked by Officer Busan after a theft at the Eagle, with a shoe theft and a possible westbound train sighting. A deputy described the trio to railroad authorities as they fled toward Flora, where a night pursuit led to arrests and detentions.
F R B Waters a civil engineer about twenty years old from Maryland died at 6 30 pm after being struck by a B and O Southwestern switch engine at Bridgeport. He attempted to jump onto the running board and fell beneath the train as it approached. He was transported to Whycennes hospital by special train, the Bridgeport to Whycennes trip taking about thirty minutes.
