Charles England owner of the Plainville station reported a thief broke a side window after 9 pm last night. Bob Nugent was on duty and left the cash in a desk drawer. Morning attendant found the window broken and the money missing with no other losses. Police investigated but had no clues.

Chicago June 2 two more deaths today bring the week end gang war toll in greater Chicago to six four others were wounded. Bessie Jones Dies After Long Illness at 43
Mrs. Bessie Jones aged 43 wife of Paul Jones farmer living one mile south of Washington on the Troy road died at 3 50 this morning after a two year illness with complications listed as the cause. Born December 28 1886 she was a daughter of Joseph and Louisa Kendall. She married Paul Jones January 27 1911 and leaves two children Norman and David. Surviving also are brothers and sisters George Kendall Joel Kendall Mrs Mattie Dosen and Ada Kendall. She was a member of the First Christian church. Funeral Wednesday at 4 00 from the Troy road residence with burial in Oak Grove cemetery. James A Gill in charge.
