A bold sneak thief enteredMrs Shielda’s residence on Washington Avenue Thursday night and fled with about $85 in goods. A heavy plate glass window was pried but interior doors remained locked. Items stolen included a clock from Sunday school, tailor made jacket, muff and cigars, with silver pants left behind. The thief exited by the back alley, avoiding upstairs access. Police noted the value of stolen goods was under $45 for the items clearly recovered.

Jury Trials HelD In Paterson Tonight After Seven Hours
A long jury deliberation in Hackensown yesterday ended at six o clock with a verdict of acquittal for one defendant and a hung jury on others in a shooting case involving a Foxhound named Rover and a defendant named Ackells tu. The court noted the jurors were unable to agree after seven hours of consideration. Additionally a new Portland Cement plant project costing about 9.5 million dollars was announced for construction at Muckin Creek with Delaware River Quarry and Construction Co. of Jersey City holding the contract. The company behind the venture remains unidentified at this time.
