Woman in Furnace Found After Suicide Attempt

The body of Miss Haley, about 45, a watchman at Plano Back Works, was found in a furnace near Orford about midnight. She had earlier attempted suicide by drowning in a pond, with relatives noting prior hysteria. A search failed until the body was recovered. her funeral is planned for Saturday at Port Colden. Also, Japhet Omick, Port Colden night watchman, died after being struck by a bound-back train near his home. he was 58 and survived by family. No inquest held. funeral planned for Port Colden church Friday.

Boy's Neck Broken In Danville Apple Wagon Tragedy

A ten year old boy, John Klaney, was killed when a wagon loaded with apples toppled on him on a Danville hill. His father Joseph Kinney, mother Mrs Kinney, and neighbors witnessed the accident. The neck injury proved instantaneous and the boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The family, grieving, received condolences from the county. A separate notice promotes a melodrama at the Opera House with cast led by James Mare Ain, directed by Sun and Fowler, claiming strong reception and high entertainment value.

Fortunate Ending After Runaway Near Townsbury

Mrs Morgan Vilet and her two sons escaped a runaway accident near Towns bury with minor to serious injuries. The wagon overturned, boards broke, and a stone struck Mrs Vilet on the head while bruises covered her body. The horse was uninjured although the carriage was badly damaged. The incident occurred as they were returning from a visit, recalling a similar past accident near the same spot.

Tate Sues Dodd for Five Thousand in Eye Injury Case

John M. Tate sues Russell Dodd in Warren County Circuit Court for 5000 damages over an August hunting accident near Phillipsburg two years ago. Tate was blinded in one eye and unable to work after Dodd allegedly violated an agreement and fired at him during a hunt. The case, represented by former Prosecutor Wm A. Coal Strike Near End As Miners Return Indicated
