Suitor fires revolver in Hackettstown alleyman charged

A young man named Anthony from Stephensburg faced felonious assault charges after a night of drinking in Hackettstown ended with him firing a pistol at Miss Sutton at her Willow Grove Street home. He was subdued by neighbors and jailed after a failed attempt to force the woman to accompany him. The incident followed prior tensions and a sequence of酒 fueled confrontations in the town temperance scene. Police transferred him to county jail after the town lockup. The report also notes a separate wreck on a local Licka wanna line injuring three men and describes a church concert fundraiser and a political note about a Warren County candidate for assistant secretary.
