Mexican Plot Found Patrol By Soldiers Hopes End Shooting
Brownsville Texas Sept 7 Evidence of a widespread conspiracy among Mexicans on both sides of the Rio Grande to overthrow American authority along the Texas Mexican boundary was uncovered by state and federal investigators. A circular dated October 1 1914 urged Mexicans to rise in favor of Larranza and independence promising money and offices to those who survive the battles. Letters for points in lower California indicated plans for uprisings formed over more than a year. May ten bunston of the Southern department is to issue orders placing virtually the entire Rio Grande country in the Brownsville section under United States army control.
