G Murphy of San Francisco plans a handsome four story residence on & Street between Tramps Place and Morita Avenue. Nathan C Wyeth designs a brick and stone dwelling with 25 by 76 feet footprint, 4000 cost estimate, and a large reception hall. John Nolan is the builder. occupancy planned for Mr and Mrs John Biddle.
Harry Wardman builder and architect HL Bears have prepared plans for seven apartment houses in Mount Pleasant. Three buildings will rise on Meridian Street near Fourteenth and four on Monaliteet near Fourteenth. Each block will have a frontage of 13 feet three inches, extend back 2 feet, and continue to a total depth of 13 feet. The seven buildings will be three stories high, each containing ten apartments from three to five rooms. Exteriors to be finished in neatly plaster and finish with slate roofs. Estimated total cost around 8000. The plans and specifications are complete and construction will begin immediately.
Mrs Louiza J Norris purchases a two story colonial brick house at 1513 Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast from Clarence Bright via Willige Cubs & Daniel for 2950 cash. The property fronts a 100 foot lot with irregular depth to an alley, includes six rooms, a furnace, and a prominent colonial porch. The residence will be occupied by the purchaser.
Architect Santmyer has prepared plans and specifications for two dwellings to be built at TIE and 7H Shepherd Street Northwest for EB Te Santmyer. Each house will be three stories high with nine rooms, constructed of red brick with limestone trimmings, costing about 000. George H Ellis buys E Street house at 1207 E Street Northeast, plans to occupy it as his residence, per The Commercial Real Estate and Commercial Exchanges Company.

The 22 by 30 foot footprint includes seven rooms per unit with hall dining kitchen and parlor on the first floor and bedrooms on the second. The building features pebble dash front, brick finish, two stories with basements, front and rear porches, hot water heat gas and electric lights, and modern conveniences.
The acting Interior Secretary Frank Pierce will open bids in October for adding a wing to Freedmen 8 Hospital with extra wards and nurse quarters. Bids will also be received for the boiler house addition to the central heating plant at the Government Hospital for the Insane.
