Springeld Missouri October 15 John Hamilton the confessed slayer of five members near Houston Texas County Mo has been hurried to a safe jail. Sheriff Hvan Woods says Hamilton is a raving maniac and made two suicide attempts. He claims Parsons threatened him with a knife and he killed Parsons in self defense then killed the family to prevent witnesses. He drove the wagon and dumped the bodies in brush then attended church before disposing the wagon bed.

Unsigned will of Kansas City real estate magnate found

A paper claimed to be the last will of C B Schoelhoff, a millionaire real estate dealer, was found unsigned after his death on a train near Yates Kansas. Eight Hurt In Trolley Crash At Uniontown

Eight people were injured in a rear end trolley collision in Uniontown Pennsylvania with three seriously hurt. Names included Thomas Pee George Dalton a Latrobe traveling man Harry Johnson and others. The front car bore the brunt as the second car crashed into it near East Main Street near the Baltimore and Ohio crossing.

Louis Bankers Meet in St Louis as Association Opens

Hundreds of bankers and their wives arrived for the thirty second annual convention of the American bankers Association. Terrific Explosion Enters Twenty Miner Death Toll at Colliery

An explosion at a colliery trapped many miners in the bottom seam. Rescue teams recovered several bodies and brought out four men believed dead but later alive. Ventilation improved and hope remained to reach all entombed before night.

Rescue on Niagara brink as launch narrowly survives falls

A disabled six person party aboard a launch was swept toward Niagara Falls late at night. Captain Charles B Lentz and passengers Mrs Lentz, Mrs Charles Clanpham and daughter Neilie, Dr C W Clendon, and engineer James Herschel were saved by Albert Greenwood of Chippewa Ontario. The boat lost its rudder after striking a bar, the anchor chain fouled, and the crew cried for help as the current carried them toward the cataract. Greenwood made two perilous trips to shore, bringing everyone safely to land.

A Seventh street and Florida avenue car turning from Ninth into G street at 9 o'clock last west lost its plow. The plow turned into G street while the wheels ran straight ahead. Traffic blocked for fifteen minutes. No one hurt.
