Physicians’ Ignorance of Hospital Conduct Criticized by Dr Mayne

Dr William Mayne clinical director of St Elizabeths Hospital told the Cosmopolitan Club at the Hyamston hotel that many physicians misunderstand hospitals. He described the institution as a major medical complex with 900 veterans and 1,031 World War era patients among 5,131 total treated since 1852. The hospital now has 96 buildings on 30 acres, staffed by 36 physicians and hundreds of employees, with daily food and supply needs noted and plans for upcoming events and a musical program by Washington Brughs Week association alongside booster prizes awarding Charley Ruoff and Edward Minte.
