Court of Appeals reverses ruling in King v Webb and other cases
The District Court of Appeals reversed lower court verdicts in Caroline King v. Henry Webb executor and in Kann et al. The court voided tax proceedings for misnaming tax payor and flawed recording and ruled the lessee’s nonpayment excusable. It remanded to the Supreme Court for further action while also reversing a fraud verdict in Haggar Bros. v Samaha and ordering a new trial. The court also supported hotel operators’ right to maintain hired vehicles in front of premises and discussed Navy Yard access plans post rail switch removal.
