Alleys Gospel Meetings Start Summer Vacation Schools
The Alley Improvement Association in Washington plans four five week summer vacation schools for alley children with three hour sessions. Twelve teachers will guide several hundred youngsters as open air meetings begin in 35 alleys. The Day Nursery at 1130 New Jefferson is run by Mrs. M M Waldron and Miss M C Dismond, charging 6 cents daily per child. Neighborhood House has become a hub for boys and girls clubs and alley mother instruction.
