Widow's Gun Kills Doctor and Self in Savannah Office

In Savannah on June 16, widow Mrs. Eugene H. Whisnant shot Dr. Guy Brinkley four times in his private office and then killed herself. A young companion, reportedly a sister of Brinkley’s patient, fired seven shots from a concealed silk handbag as the doctor pursued him through the office and house. Brinkley, who had treated the girl for weeks, died at the scene. the woman also died, and police search for the unidentified sister continues.

Frederick H. Hermann of Buffalo aged 35 leaped from Luna Island bridge into the Niagara River and was swept over the falls. Hundreds of tourists witnessed the act as searchers continued to recover his body.

Mrs Fitzhughs Guilty Plea Ends Theft Trial

New York on June 1s. Mrs Randolph Titshugh pleaded guilty to grand larceny in the second degree for stealing a $500 gold mesh bag from Mrs Harvey Fiske at St Bartholomew's Church last February. She is remanded to the Tombs for sentence after counsel withdrew.
