Murder plot arrests widen as six held in Raber case
Prosecutor Edward Stanton says a confession points to love for another man as the motive behind the New York murder plot. Six people are in custody and two more sought, including a mother and daughter among five women tied to the scheme. Authorities say a key figure known as the “go-between” supplied murderers for hire, and a high powered car linked to the case is held by police. Tomorrow, Mrs Raber and her daughter Marian, held in Erie county, appear in court with Francis W. Poulson as counsel for the defendants. Bail for the daughter seems possible, while the mother remains jailed without ball. The State expects further revelations if health improves for the imprisoned poison suspect.
