Free after 12 years in cell in Ohio pardon for Celery King

Columbus, June 6. George Ury, jailed since 1900 for the murder of W C Johnson, known as the Celery King, was pardoned by Governor Cox after twelve years. Cox said he believes Ury innocent and cited a miscarriage of justice. Johnson, tied to his bed and shot September 11, 1900, was linked to a large celery farm near Cares, Ohio, by Mrs Johnson who identified the disguised suspect.
