Enraged Canton laborer shoots family victims and bites cop

Robert Roach 29, a Canton laborer, returned home to find his wife missing and killed his mother in law Mrs Schatzman 61 and sister in law Ruth 19 and Doris Roach 16 months. A second sister in law Viola Schatzman 17 was wounded and may die. He shot Canton officer W W Fielding in the leg and bit drayman Happy Meyers in the hand. Roach then attempted to hang himself before officers arrived and subdued him. He confessed to the killings and was taken to the police station.
