Government Wins Ruling to End Board of Trade Price Fixing
Federal Judge Landis ordered the Chicago butter and egg board to stop publishing fixed prices on butter eggs and other products and struck down portions of the board's defense claiming the call was justifiable due to alleged industry consolidation. The suit contends a five member after 1:13 pm committee set prices that remained until next morning, constituting conspiracy in restraint of trade and violation of anti trust law. Mayors from several cities travel to London for Anglo American exhibition and municipal discussions on price fixing.
