Snow law fines paid in court as two women fined
About twenty two violators faced the police court for the new snow law. Only two defendants, Ada Goodman and Tiry Beck, appeared, unable to post collateral. Both were fined five dollars after proving sidewalks in their area were unkept and unpaved. Collateral forfeitures were entered for the rest, with numerous residents failing to appear. Additional cases included Flavius Barnhart, whose walk was contested and later dismissed after new witnesses supported his claim.
