Union Typographers Deny Boycott and Violence Claims
Columbia Typographical Union No. 101 and its eight hour committee filed an answer to an injunction petition, denying all allegations of a boycott or violence. Affidavits from union leaders and workers claim adherence to peaceful conduct, while the printers contend the typothetae is a restraint of trade and that the strike aims at better wages and hours. The court postponed a ruling with Justice Stafford to review documentary evidence as attorneys prepare further arguments.
