New Zoo Exhibit Opens With Five Monkeys and Leopards

A 40 000 mile journey brought five Monos a zebra and a leopard to the National Zoo in Washington under A D Baker assistant superintendent. The five Monos are two males around 325 pounds each at age two with playful kitten like behavior. The zebra remains unnamed and a small rare rodent attracted attention. The birds include two eagles two vultures and a hawk all from W McMillan of St Louis. The collection rivals any in the United States aside from major circuses and marks the zoo as a premier mammal exhibit in the nation.
