Pope Hopes to See Wilson Visit Considered Probable

Paris reports that President Wilson has not confirmed a Rome visit but is now viewed as likely. The Pope desires an audience and Vatican officials see no diplomatic clash with the Quirinal. If he stays at the Vatican, calls would be exchanged via the embassy. A post Christmas itinerary is anticipated, with Rome preparing arches and flags as crowds await the President.
