Marine Cor poral shot by sentry at navy yard
Marine Corporal Ericson was shot by Private Holt a sentry on duty near interred cruiser replicas at the Norfolk navy yard Tuesday night. The bullet entered the right side and is believed to have punctured a lung. The shooting's cause is described as mistaken identity and officials refuse to discuss. Holt is confined pending investigation. Reports say Ericson did not answer the sentry challenge and was mistaken for an outsider.
