Dead of Runaway Injuries At Connecticut Avenue Bridge

George Murray a 60 year old bricklayer of 483 Pennsylvania Avenue NW died yesterday at Washington Asylum Hospital from cerebral hemorrhage due to injuries from a runaway weeks ago on the Connecticut avenue bridge. He was returning with ten fellow workers when a harness broke and the wagon overturned. The other men recovered. Murray had no known relatives and his funeral will be conducted by the bricklayers union. In a separate item an Ohio bank investigated a supposed counterfeiting plot tied to a former Bureau of Engraving and Printing employee. The swindler claimed he could perfectly reproduce certain U.S. notes but the bank found the claim unsubstantiated and authorities say he acts without violating postal laws if he does not use the mails.
