Britain to Seek U S Unity on Postwar Trade Policy

London Aug 8 A British pledge to act with the United States on trade steps following the Paris war trade resolution was voiced by Andrew Bonar Law in the House of Commons. Earl Curzon said imperial preference had not been discussed and urged allied concert, noting the empire and U S would control most world raw materials after the war, and a general alliance would guide any actions. Parliament will get a full statement on reassembly as dominion talks pause. Some English papers doubt U S participation in enforcing the Paris resolution, citing President Wilson’s postwar stance.
