Mrs. Leonard Stuckey was struck by a brick fragment while walking on South street near Welmmenauer's blacksmith shop Saturday afternoon about 6. The brick hit the building first and cut a gash over an inch long on her cheek. Police have not named the alleged assailants.
Two Daviess County men, W. Hedrick and J. Swickerd, were involved when a runaway wagon hurtled through Loogootee near noon Saturday. Swickerd suffered painful injuries and was confined to bed, while Hedrick escaped serious harm by jumping clear as the wagon struck a mill.

A deranged woman living near Aj orndsville was shot in the left collar bone after wandering from her home. Ernest Hawkins, the hired hand, reported seeing a wounded woman near the Myers house and a man at the door fired. Doctors Rowland and Hedrick treated the injury as nervous and possibly not fatal. the patient remained under care as authorities investigated.

The will of the late Michael Foley has been admitted to probate. He leaves all property to his wife Isadora during her life with remainder to Martin and Francis Foley upon her death, provided they pay their sister St. Michael $150. The will was dated February 1 and witnessed by Francis Kalanquin and Thomas Fidéenot. John Daily is executor.
