Prominent Sugarland Farmer Edward Aikman Dies by Suicide
Edward L. Aikman, a well known Sugarland farmer, hanged himself at the Hamlet Allen farm near Wash ing this morning. Relatives had pursued him as he faced illness and financial worry. Coroner McKittrick will hold an inquest, with funeral services set for Wednesday at ten o'clock at Oak Grove cemetery.

Two alleged gold brick swindlers flee Vincennes on bond
Charles F. Jerome and Charles Roberts were released from Vincennes jail on 87 000 bond and left town immediately for the east. They drove to Wheatland at daylight and boarded a B O train with an unknown woman who aided in their bond release, avoiding a Marion warrant issued Friday morning.

Lefever Performs Loop On Giant Skate In Indianapolis

West Washington man attacked with brick on Main Street
Charles Bryan, 22, a local West Washington resident and B& O SW employee, was assaulted by two drunken men on Main Street near the Joseph Cabel residence. A brick cut his left ear and head, requiring six stitches. A passing woman intervened and the attackers fled. Bryan sought medical aid and later telephone the local doctor for treatment. He is a student at Indiana Medical College in winter and works as an assistant pipe fitter in summer.
