Will Masten Passes Away Former Washington Typographical Foreman
Will Masten, a former foreman of The Gazetteer, died at 12:52 PM at the home of his sister in Loogootee after a months long fight with consumption. He had gone to New Mexico for health reasons before returning to Loogootee three weeks ago. He was 25 and survived by his mother and several brothers and a sister. He was not married and was a member of Local Typographical Union No. 538.

Walter Coyle of Montgomery leaped from his engine on a train out of Indianapolis after spotting an inevitable wreck. The fall caused a sprained back but likely saved his life. His father George A. Coyle, visiting from Indianapolis, remained at the bedside.
