Arrest Made in Forgery Case In Indiana
Thomas D. Wade, a native of northern Daviess County, was arrested in Sanborn Knox County on forgery charges. He allegedly forged his mother and uncle David Wade on a note for thirty dollars and fled the country almost two years ago. Wade was brought to Vincennes by Patrolman Emanuel Gates and jailed. preliminary hearing slated in Mayor Clark's court.

Mexican War Vet James C Carlton Stricken in Bedford

Boys Break Into House Robbery Leads to Confession
Four boys broke into the Hawkins residence on Williams Street stealing two purses, money, a knife, and whisky. Harry Gordon and Arthur McCord were arrested with others soon after. Gordon confessed and all property was recovered. Boys bound over to a judge for inquiry and released with promises to behave.
