Horse Driver Faces Cruelty Charge After Dying Horse
John Eagle, a young farmer, is charged with driving a horse to death after leaving the animal on a road at night. Frane Znkap, keeper of a Fourth Street livery, says Eagle used the best horse, drove to a city outing, and did not return by five, then the horse died from overwork and exposure. A bystander found the horse on Edwardsport Road and notified Znkap. Eagle reportedly returned later hauling coal, but the horse had already died valued at $150.

Thomas Hyatt, who died by suicide due to illness, had funeral services at his Vincennes residence conducted by Rev. W. La Baptist church. Burial occurred at Indiana cemetery near Vincennes. Worker injured after fall from scaffold at express company site
C A Campbell, building the U S Express Company structure near the B and O depot, fell from a ten foot scaffold Saturday afternoon while carrying lumber. He suffered two bruises on the forehead and injuries to his arm and shoulder, though described as not serious. Three Boys In Runaway Run Through Fields
Milton Ennis Walter Ford and Frank Ennis, three young farmers youths from the city, rode a runaway horse Sunday. The horse frightened the buggy toppled and the riders struggled to escape. Milton Ennis was thrown and injured, Walter Ford was run over but only bruised, and Frank Ennis remained inside until the horse crashed into a barbed wire fence tearing a wheel before being caught. The horse escaped unharmed.
