Rev Samuel Dyer sued the B and C S W railroad for 10000 damages after a caboose incident. The jury returned a verdict for the defendant and did not award damages despite Dyer claiming injuries. The trial followed a lengthy deliberation overnight.
The adultery case against John Pitcher and Sarah Bird began this morning in Davis County Court around eleven o'clock and continued this afternoon. Pitcher and Bird arrived in Davis County about two months ago from near French and settled on the Dixon farm southeast of Washington.

A conference between B and O officials and flagmen union leaders ended with an agreed wage rise. Engineers and firemen receive a roughly 15 percent increase through run equalization, with few rule changes. The agreement ends wage demands among B&O train crews for now.
The Baltimore and Ohio Southwestern will transport 60 soldiers from Ft. Thomas to St Louis for the dedication of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. The B and O engineering department is drawing up plans for the move.

At Vircusnes presbytery meeting on Wednesday the creed revision passed by a large vote. Revd D. P. Putman of Princeton was named commissioner and Rev. J. C. E. Fry of Suivan as 1st alternate to the General Assembly in Los Angeles May 21. Lay commissioner William Hays of Worthington and W. H. Lockyear of Evansville were chosen as alternate. Dr. Stewart spoke on The Church and Foreign Missions, joined by Mrs. McCrary and Miss Mee Graw in other talks. A church reception followed as the presbytery concluded this afternoon.
