Man Injured In Power Saw Accident At Antiques Shop
Don Myers of Washington was taken to Mercy Hospital in Iowa City Wednesday after his hand became entangled with a power saw blade while cutting parts for reconditioning antique furniture at Crown House Antiques on Iowa Avenue. He was listed in satisfactory condition and expected to stay in hospital through the weekend.

Fundraisers Planned in Wellman for Debbie Allen Clark

Steven Michael Coon 21 of Washington died when his small car collided head on with a semi truck about four am on Highway 1 north of Brighton. Vernon L. Williams of Rock Island said Coon veered into his lane. The B N Transport Co. truck was damaged about three thousand dollars. Coon a Washington High School graduate was a shipping clerk at McCleery Cumming Co. Funeral set for Oct 2 1976 at Jones Funeral Home. Burial in Ainsworth Cemetery. Memorial to Washington High School drama department. He was born Sept 9 1955 in Washington, son of Murray and Patricia Coon. Survivors include his parents and a sister, plus grandparents and great grandmother.
